Standard 512 Point Cable Tester - Remote Fixturing
Product Description
In this configuration the enclosures do not include the fixturing to hold adapters, but have standard sockets mounted in the "boxtop" (36-Way Centronix sockets are illustrated, but 37-Way D-type & most other socket types can be supplied as required). We can change the interface sockets on a customer by customer basis, simply by fitting different "boxtops", each manufactured to hold different types of socket. Internally, the circuit boards are stacked resulting in a very compact unit - the 512 point version is about the same size as a telephone directory, and the 256 point version is only half this size! This solution is well suited to environments where external fixturing will be used for the testing (e.g. looming-boards, bareboard PCBs, backplanes, automated processes).
Customers who require a high number of test points can opt for little more than a stack of Cable Doctor testing boards daisy chained together. Cables lead away from the stack to whatever test fixture you choose. We can supply customised housings for the stack and again the dimensions can be very small. For example, a 2048 point tester can measure just 8" by 5" by 11". (The standard CD2048RF, however, measures 18" by 12" by 9" high, and is built in a smart stove-enamelled custom-built housing fitted with 64 37-Way D-type sockets).
Systems with virtually unlimited numbers of test points can be produced to order (the current limit exceeds 0.26 million test points). A test probe and an external 6 Volt power supply are included in the price.
